Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics has realized mass production of kilowatt-level ytterbium-doped large-mode-area fiber glass, with a stable output of 12,000 watts per single module, ending reliance on imported raw materials for high-power laser fibers.

Domestic research institutes have optimized precision molding formulas for chalcogenide infrared glass to support mass production of aspheric lenses used in automotive night vision and infrared temperature measurement equipment.
