Dead Front Glass -- What We Actually Ship

Every piece shown here passed our 100% outgoing inspection. Precision-printed opacity layers, verified hidden-display performance, and clean edge finishing -- not lab samples, but real mass-production batches.

Dead Front glass panel -- opacity layer, batch production sample
Dead Front glass -- precision-cut edge, hidden display application
Dead Front glass -- screen-printed opacity coating, mass production batch

All images are actual production samples -- 100% outgoing inspection passed, ISO 9001 process controlled.

The Technology

What Makes Dead Front Glass Different

Unlike standard tinted glass, dead front glass uses a precisely engineered optical coating stack that achieves near-total opacity in ambient light -- while maintaining full display transmittance when backlit. The result: invisible-until-needed interfaces that elevate any interior.

STANDBY / OFF

Surface appears as uniform dark glass -- no buttons, no icons, no bezels visible.

01

Optical Coating Stack

A multi-layer anti-reflective + dark tint coating is applied via magnetron sputtering, achieving ≥98% opacity in ambient conditions without any visible color cast.

02

Precision Silk-Screen Print

Automated silk-screen lines apply custom graphics, brand marks, or window zones with ±0.05mm registration accuracy -- critical for touch icon alignment.

03

Chemically Strengthened

Ion exchange tempering (Gorilla Glass compatible) delivers surface compressive stress >650 MPa -- meeting daily-use durability for high-traffic smart home and commercial installations.

Buyer FAQ

Questions We Hear From
Procurement & Engineering Teams

Yes. Our silk-screen printing process supports Pantone, RAL, and custom color-matched inks. We produce a color-matched proof on the actual glass substrate before full production begins, and you approve the golden sample before we proceed. Typical color deviation is <ΔE 1.5 under D65 illuminant.
Every production batch is measured with our high-precision spectral analyzer. We maintain a process control chart for coating thickness and optical density. The golden sample from your approved prototype is retained as a physical reference standard throughout the lifecycle of your product. Batch QC reports with spectral data are provided with each shipment.
Absolutely. We provide full RoHS 3 (EU 2015/863) and REACH SVHC compliance declarations, Certificate of Conformance, and material composition data sheets for all glass and coating materials used. We can also support CE technical file preparation and provide test reports from accredited third-party labs upon request.
Standard MOQ for mass production is 500 pieces. For new product launches, we offer a pilot run option of 50-200 pieces at a slightly higher unit cost to validate your design before committing to full volume. Sample quantities (5-20 pcs) are available for engineering evaluation at tooling cost only.
Yes. We offer ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) sputtering for capacitive touch integration, and optical bonding (OCA/OCR) for display assembly. Our engineering team can review your full stack -- glass + touch sensor + display -- and advise on the optimal bonding method to maintain dead front performance while meeting your touch sensitivity requirements.
