Hard Coating (HC)
Pencil hardness ≥ 6H. Abrasion-resistant for high-contact applications such as handheld devices and industrial scanners.
Anti-Reflection (AR)
Single-layer or multi-layer AR coating reducing surface reflection to <0.5% per surface across the visible band (400-700 nm).
Dual AR + IR Block
Combined AR visible-band coating with integrated thin-film IR-blocking stack. Maximizes SNR in CMOS/CCD imaging systems.
Anti-Fingerprint (AF)
Oleophobic fluoride top-coat. Contact angle >110°. Ideal for medical imaging panels and touch-enabled optical windows.
Absorptive IR-Cut
Glass-body absorption type (e.g., Schott KG series equivalent). Eliminates angle-dependent shift. Preferred for wide-angle lens modules.

Frequently Asked Questions
Technical questions from procurement engineers and R&D teams -- answered.
What is the difference between absorptive and reflective (interference) IR-cut filters?
Reflective (interference) filters use thin-film coatings to reflect NIR. They offer sharper cut-off slopes and are preferred for telecentric or low-divergence optical systems. However, the cut-off wavelength shifts with angle of incidence (typically ~0.1 nm/degree). We recommend the type based on your system's chief ray angle and illumination conditions.
Can you match our existing supplier's spectral performance exactly?
What quality documentation comes with each shipment?
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom IR-cut filters?
How do you handle the wavelength shift with angle of incidence (AOI)?
What are your lead times for prototypes and production orders?
Small production runs (100-1,000 pcs): 15-25 business days.
Large production runs (>5,000 pcs): 25-40 business days.
Expedited production (50% lead time reduction) is available for an additional fee. We recommend buffer stock programs for customers with regular monthly demand -- we can pre-produce and hold inventory for just-in-time delivery.
